1) Why do some people
say not to rock your baby to sleep?
Firstly, anyone who says not to rock your baby
to sleep, is usually talking about the situation
where, you, as a parent, are holding your baby
close to you in your arms and using a rocking
motion (The Mummy Sway) (and usually standing
up at the time) lulling your baby to sleep. The
baby often falls asleep in this warm and comforting
environment. What happens next is the main reason
some people object to rocking a baby to sleep.
Once the baby is asleep, the parent then lowers
the baby from the warm and comforting environment
which it fell asleep, to a stationary and cold
cot. It is here that, after a few minutes, that
the baby then senses a dramatic change in the environment,
and wakes up usually crying, wanting to be rocked
in that warm environment in which she/he fell asleep
in. Therefore, you, as the parent naturally worry
about your baby as he/she is crying and you then
pick up your baby and continue with the “mummy
sway” to attempt to get your baby back to
sleep. This is VERY VERY exhausting and time consuming
and at times, very stressful to you, as a parent.
We believe the Lullabub provides a sleep system
which will avoid most of these problems and be
embraced by most critics of infants sleeping patterns.
We recommend that you place your baby while they
are still awake in the cot when you know they are
getting tired or you know its time for them to
sleep. Then press the remote control to your baby’s
desired motion (four to choose from, this may take
a few times to understand what your baby seems
to enjoy the most) You may stay with your baby
for the first couple of times as the Lullabub is
working. You may also want to gently touch, rub
or pat you baby for extra comfort. Once your baby
closes their eyes and fall asleep, you may leave
the room, stand back and watch the Lullabub automatically
move the cot/crib in a soothing and relaxing motion
and your baby thinks your are still there doing
it. As the time limit is preset to 30 minutes,
and if, after this time, your baby wakes up, then
simply re-activate the motion with the remote control,
and your baby will then be soothed to sleep the
very same way as it did previously.
Yes, your baby may get used to going asleep with
the Lullabub, but remember what is most important
here:
• Your Baby going to sleep;
• Your baby getting the required amount of
sleep and
• (most importantly) you as the primary care
giver are getting some rest or sleep as well!!
If you are not having enough rest you will tend
to be more irritable towards your baby and family
due to sleep deprivation.
2) Is the Lullabub safe?
YES, The Lullabub is a product to help and assist
in the daily sleep routine of your baby. The Lullabub
has the regulatory compliances needed to give the

mobile phone. The certified supplied Plug pack
converts you home power to only six Volts to operate
the unit and the night light. The remote control
is powered by two AA batteries. Batteries are included.
5) At what age is the Lullabub suitable
for?
We recommend from birth up until your baby can

stand up and start to climb, they are ready to
make the transition from the cot to the normal

Yes. In fact the Lullabub supports the whole cot/crib
in such a way that it will maintain the strength
of the cot and eliminate any racking of the cot/crib.
The Lullabub has a unique design that supports
the whole cot on an independent suspension system.
The Lullabub supports the cot in a way that does
not undermine the cots structure, but keeps it
rigid as the manufacturer intended. |
